Outside Catering Policy

San Marino Club understands that a large part of the enjoyment of any celebration is the type of food served. Ensuring the cuisine matches your vision for a successful & happy event is part of our commitment to you. San Marino Club permits the use of a professional outside caterer for ethnic & religious events that require a menu not easily provided by our culinary team.

  • Utilization of the Entire Event Space During your Contracted Timeframe
  • Usage of In-House Tables & Banquet Chairs
  • Standard White Table Linens & Choice of Stock Colored Napkins
  • China & Silverware
  • Staging/Risers
  • Bartenders & Servers
  • Set Up & Breakdown of all Items Provided by San Marino Club
  • Cutting & Service of Wedding Cake
  • Coffee, Tea, & Soft Drinks
  • Dedicated Kitchen Space
  • Select Equipment for the Outside Caterer Based on Available Inventory
  • Chafing Dishes & Pans/Inserts-Maximum of 10
  • Serving Utensils, Platters, & Bowls

Requirements

  • The Client is Responsible for Hiring a Professional Outside Caterer
  • The Client's Caterer Must Have a Current Business License, Insurance Certificate, Serve Safe Certification (Holder Must be Present at Time of Event), & Obtain Approval from San Marino Club
  • San Marino Club Requires all Outside Caterers to Provide a Certificate of Insurance *With San Marino Listed as Additional Insured * to be on File at Least Two Weeks Prior to the Event
  • Caterer Must Wear a Proper Uniform & Prepare Foods in Accordance with the Michigan Food Code
  • San Marino Club Has a Limited Supply of Service Items & the Outside Caterer is Responsible for Providing a List of all Required Equipment, Along with the Proposed Menu, no Less than Three Weeks Prior to the Event Date to Confirm Availability
